Helsinki- End of June 2007 – 3 days

I was immediately impressed with Helsinki because there seemed to be more hairdressing salons per capita than supermarkets. As I walked through the streets, I saw the effect of the abundance of hairdressers- very stylish haircuts! And lots of them. I was lucky to be in town on a weekend where there was a metal open-air festival, a goth festival and gay pride march. It made for an interesting dynamic in the streets and lots to look at.

Although I harp on about Helsinki style, it is also worth noting that the abundance of hairdressers also led to some weird experimentation:
