Santorini

This was the first time in my life that I engaged in a purely relaxing beach holiday. Inspired by the Japanese, I have always tried to “see and do” things when travelling overseas. By the time I got to Greece, I was so exhausted from “seeing and doing” that it was a welcome relief to limit my activities: swimming, snorkelling, sleeping, napping, resting and eating.

We somehow mustered up the energy to hire a car, which was an easy and quick way to see the whole island.

Food highlights included the oven-cooked Lamb Kleftiko, Fried Saganaki Cheese, $3 Souvlaki and fried calamari.
